Classification of Tungsten Carbide Powder

Although tungsten carbide powders look similar in appearance, there are in fact many different kinds of tungsten carbide powders. Sometimes different powders are used for different purposes. Now we will introduce some classifications of tungsten carbide powder for you.
Tungsten Carbide Powder
1. Symmetrical grain tungsten carbide powder for impact resistant tools
The tungsten carbide powder produced at high temperature has symmetric grain with narrow particle size distribution and advanced monocrystallization.
2. Extremely fine tungsten carbide powder
The diameter of this tungsten carbide powder is less than 0.1μm, which belongs to extremely fine tungsten carbide powder, mainly used for high hardness and high strength binder-free alloys and super carbide. It is particularly suitable for raw materials requiring high hardness and strength, such as drills and vertical milling cutters, and can also be used for printed circuit boards.
Depending on the size, it can also be subdivided into nanopowder (grain size between 0(.05~0.08μm) . Standard powder (grain size between 0 (.10~0.55μm) and uniform granular powder (grain size between 00 (.10~0.55μm).
Tungsten Carbide
These are several common classifications of tungsten carbide powder. The application of tungsten carbide powder in tungsten carbide coatings is also very common, and it is worthwhile to know more about this important industrial raw material.
