Cemented carbide is a material obtained from metal and carbide powders by high temperature sintering. Its inspection process mainly contains the following steps:
1. Appearance inspection: Check the appearance quality of cemented carbide products for defects such as cracks, burrs, inclusions, oxide skin, etc.
2. Component analysis: Using techniques such as chemical analysis or spectral analysis to determine the content of cemented carbide components and whether the composition meets the requirements.
3. Microstructure inspection: Use metallographic microscope and other equipment to observe the microstructure of cemented carbide and check whether there are defects such as non-metallic inclusions, porosity, grain boundaries, etc.
4. Hardness testing: Using equipment such as hardness tester to measure the hardness index of cemented carbide to confirm whether its material properties meet the requirements.
5. Tensile strength and modulus of elasticity test: Using universal testing machine and other equipment, measure the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity index of cemented carbide to evaluate its mechanical properties.
6. Wear test: Using equipment such as a wear tester, measure the wear of cemented carbide to evaluate its wear resistance.
